Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all of our products, services, content, features, technologies, and functions, as well as any other products, services, content, features, technologies, or functions provided by third parties. What is the purpose of processing your personal data?

We will only use your personal information if the law permits it. We will most likely utilise your personal information in the following situations:

Where we'll need to carry out the contract we're about to sign with you or have already signed.

For our business purposes, we exchange information with our business partners.

When it is in our legitimate interests to improve our Services and provide you with a safe and secure Platform, we may collect information about you.

When we must adhere to a legal or regulatory requirement.

2.1.1. If you opt to give us your location data, we will use it for the following purposes:

For the objectives of business analysis, segmentation, and the building of anonymous profiles, anonymous and aggregated information about the characteristics and behaviour of users is compiled.

To improve the efficiency of our Services and to tailor the material we deliver to you. For example, using location data, we can show you ad listings in your area to better your shopping experience. Google Maps is incorporated with our Platform for this reason. This means that in the context of Google Maps, both Google and we are responsible for the processing of your location data. In any case, we will not use your location data for anything other than the purposes described in this Privacy Statement. However, as indicated in the Google Privacy Policy, which may be checked, Google may utilise such location data for its own reasons. The usage of Google Maps through our Platform is subject to Google's terms and conditions.

To measure and monitor your interaction with the third-party advertisement banners, we place on our Platform.

2.1.2. We map the different devices (such as desktop, mobile, and tablets) you use to access our Platform using your account information, which includes your email ID and phone number. This enables us to link your Platform activity across devices, allowing us to provide you with a consistent experience regardless of which device you use.

2.1.3. We use the images, descriptions, and prices you provide in your ad listings to train machine learning models that personalise search results based on ad ranking and user interest, improve ad listing identification and presentation, improve the search function, and increase the chances of a successful sale. This allows us to enhance our Services and deliver a better user experience for you.

2.1.4. We employ algorithms to show and propose ad listings on our Services that may be of interest to you based on your browsing behaviour, things purchased, clickstream data, your user ID, and your location data if you have granted us permission to do so. We employ automated decision-making in this way because we have a genuine interest in improving our Services and providing a better user experience by showing you more relevant ad listings.

2.1.5. For product enhancement and to offer you with a better user experience, we access and analyse your chat messages with other users conducted through the chat function on our Platform (e.g. to identify sold items and to provide you with active listings only).

We process the above data to ensure proper performance of our contract with you and to improve your experience with our Services.

2.1.6. To administer and defend our Platform, we use your cell number, log data, and unique device identifiers (including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, fraud prevention, system maintenance, support, reporting and hosting of data).

2.1.7. We utilise algorithms to mediate disputes, prevent, and identify fraud on our Services based on certain facts such as user activity and posted material, which may result in us banning certain user accounts. When there is a high degree of assurance that an account or behaviour is fraudulent, automated banning occurs. Otherwise, consumer safety and security specialists are chosen based on very restricted access permissions for human assessment. We utilise this type of automated decision-making to detect and prevent fraud, as well as to keep our Services safe and secure for our users, based on our legitimate interests. If you believe your account was wrongly banned, please contact our Customer Support team.

2.1.8. On the basis of our legitimate interest in avoiding fraud on our Services, we gather some information from and about the electronic device from which you access our Services. Your user ID (depending on whether you are logged in), country domain, IP address, device brand and type, device operating system and version, and browser type and version are among the data we gather. When users connect with our Services, the device-related information is collected to verify if the same device is being used. We link this data to a user fraud score, which we use to decide whether or not to ban certain people. If you believe your account has been wrongly blocked, please contact us via our customer care helpline.

2.1.9. We may contact you via your registered mobile phone number or email address to obtain feedback on our Services.

2.1.10. We use your email address and mobile number (through SMS) to send you suggestions and recommendations about our Services that we think you'll like.

2.1.11. We use clickstream data to track and report campaign delivery effectiveness to our business partners and for internal business analysis.

2.1.12. We may use your location data to measure and track your interaction with the third-party advertisement banners we post on our Services if you opt to supply us with your location data.

We process the following data because it is in our legitimate interest to engage in marketing activities in order to provide you with Services that may be of interest to you. You may receive the following types of marketing communications from us or our business partners:
